Hi everybody,

I'm using KDE now for a few month and I basically fell in love with it.

There is just one little thing I'm still struggle to achieve: unity-like keyboard shortcuts for application launchers (equivalent to what is also available on Windows 7).

I would like to be able to select an application using a simple shortcut such as Meta-1, Meta-2, etc. (the meta+keypad combination is just perfect, you almost don't have to move your hands on both side of the keyboard) with the following behavior:
1) if no instance of the application exists, a new instance is launched.
2) if an instance of the application exists, the corresponding window comes to the foreground.
3) (optionnal) if multiple instance of the application exists, you can cycle through them by repeating the shortcut combination.

Luckily, a widget is already doing *almost* that: the icon only task manager, with one apparent limitation: yan can set launchers, but no shortcut on them.

Did I miss something? Is there some kind of D-Bus magic to invoke an exisiting launcher using its name or something?

Any feedback much appreciated, thanks.
