For some reason, I can not create new activities at all. I can pull up the activities menu, but when I click on "Create Activity" and then try to choose a template, the menu just disappears and the activity is not created. This is a problem, as I would like to use multiple workspaces.

Is this a side effect of the fact that I have a different default DE, or am I just doing something wrong?

Is "kactivitymanagerd" running on your system?

For some reason, it wasn't even installed, but it's working now. Thanks!

Okay, i've marked this as solved. Which distribution are you running - if you have Plasma Desktop installed, then kactivitymanagerd should be dragged in as a dependency.
