Hello everyone
I have a Debian Jessie (testing) installation with KDE 4.11.5. I have a problem with lancelot and the shelf widget, it happens that if there is no more space left in the /home partition the two components stop showing Places (user special folders, bookmarks, mounted devices) correctly, there is only the home folder. But the issue is that after freeing up some space, this behaviour doesn't change. I reproduced the same problem on another Debian Jessie installation and I was unable to solve the problem, I also tryed to purge and reinstall the Lancelot package, moving away ~/.kde/share/config/lancelotrc and ~/.kde/share/apps/lancelot. Dolphin instead shows Places and Bookmarks correctly. Any idea? Thank you!

As I said in the first post
and the shelf widget is part of the lancelot package |

no, not the packages but the actual widgets

I removed the widgets and purged again the package, I rerun the commands you gave me but nothing. I also repeated the procedure with a reboot, I then reinstalled the package but the problem is still there.

Can you try to reproduce under a new user (just to eliminate any user configuration & cache sources of the issue)?

with a new user everything is ok, special folders and bookmarks are correctly shown both in lancelot and in the shelf.

Before removing the lancelotrc, etc files - please try logging out and removing them outside of KDE. Lancelot relies on a secondary process (called 'lancelot') which may remain running even after the applet has been removed - which could be causing this behaviour.

I removed the widgets, I logged out and removed their files from tty1 and then I logged in again. The problem is still there.
I'm missing something, are there other config files in my home used by Lancelot? |

does "~/.kde*/share/apps/kfileplaces/bookmarks.xml" contain your places?
