Hi
!'m running KDE 4.13 and tried to configure the comic strip widget. I installed several comics, but they don't show in the Comic Dialogue window, so I can;t select any. The window is blank. I tried searching through similar cases in the forum but nothing helps. I'm using proprietary Nvidia drivers with GL 3.1 and everything else is working without problem except for the shelf widget which shows a blank window if I select an applications category (folder, and other options work). Any advice would be useful. I don;t know where to start. thanks in advance |

I would suggest browsing for Comics manually on kde-look.org, downloading them and then using the "plasmapkg" command to install them.

Yes, unfortunately it has broken at some point due to changes within Plasma and the developers haven't yet fixed the issue i'm afraid (i'm not sure if the Comics applet is maintained at the moment).

Well, the widget itself is still there and works. You just cannot download/install particular comic providers via the "Get new comics..." button in the settings, but have to do it manually (once). |
