Reset all settings to defaults?

Tue Aug 19, 2014 9:30 am
Hi

IS there a command to reset all the KDE settings to the default (as it would have been after a fresh install into a new ~/ directory?

Code: Select all
mv -r ~/.kde4 ~/.kde4.bak
;-)

Notice that processes will likely write back their current settings on logout, so you want to do this outside of a KDE session. ~/.kde4 may be just ~/.kde on SuSE
Your former settings are archieved in the ~/.kde4.bak directory as resetting all configs & data is usually really not a good solution to anything.
