I get a message about not being able to locate a file in Lancelot.

I do not have Lancelot installed, but it is in the add widgets panel.

At one time I added Lancelot, but decided to use Homerun Kicker.

Can I remove Lancelot from this panel and this will hopefuully solve the problem.

If I decide at a later date to use Lancelot, I can always re-install it from add widgets.

Thanks

moved to Plasma forum

I don't understand why if it's not installed it's 1) in your panel and 2) in "add widgets" - are you sure it's not installed?

you can remove it from the panel like any other widget.

ps - it always help to include the full text of any messages that you refer

It is not installed.

I am referring to the Add Widgets panel that appears at the bottom of the screen when I activate New Activity, Unlock Widgets, Add Widgets feature. There is no tick by Lancelot. I cannot see how to remove Lancelot form this panel

you don't get to remove widgets from the "add widgets" popup, the ystem generates it based on what widgets it finds installed, if you don't have plasma-widget-lancelot installed then there must be an orphan file somewhere - try installing the .deb then unstalling it

You asked about the message received.

'Error - Lancelot'

'The process for the file protocol died unexpectedly'

Thanks

UPDATE.

It seems that Lancelot is installed, but it is not ticked in the Add Widgets panel. Surely its only installed if the green tick appears, but what does it mean if its in the panel and not ticked?

I have now uninstalled Lancelot via the packet manager, and will see if there are any messages received when I next login.
