He Guys,
I am using KDE (4, recent version) on an Arch system on my Wetab for some time now. Originally, I wanted to use plasma active and built it accordingly on the device. However, it seemed to be not on par anymore with the current codebase of KDE (4), so I ended up using the standard desktop. I managed to produce some PKGBUILDs to have the Maliit keyboard running. It runs fine right now, but I would like to have better integration and especially arrow keys and tab. So I grabbed the most recent sources of plasma-keyboard from download.kde.org (version 0.2) and put it into my installation tree. Maliit reckognizes the module as active-keyboard and I can switch over using maliit-example-settings. However, no keyboard pops up (contrary to the libmaliit-keyboard and nemo-keyboard modules). But I also get no error message. I had to set QML_IMPORT_PATH to /usr/lib/kde4/imports and I have exchanged all 'import Qt 4.7' to 'import QtQuick 1.1' in the files. The latter was not necessary, but cleaned out a warning message from the output of maliit-server. Anyway, I wanted to ask if anybody is currently running active-keyboard with maliit on the most recent codebase of KDE (4) or if the keyboard code has to be adopted to run again. This might also be interesting for the guys, who ported plasma-active to KF5 a few month back. Btw: The QT5 version of maliit (0.99) did not work out for me. I am using the QT4 version 0.94) right now. Any advise is very much appreciated. Many thanks. -m |

Nobody? Is maliit active considered to be dead?
