How do I change the Icons for the Lock/Logout Plasmoid and the System icons on the Application Launcher such as the Shutdown Button? I've tried changing the Icon theme in the System Settings but it didn't change them.

To clarify, I'm on Plasma 5 and I don't want Monochrome icons

I finally gave up and just modified the source code to use the icons I wanted.

Hi pouar,
Would you be so kind and provide us with the location and name of the files that you had to modify, please? I am also very dissatisfied with this plain, boring and indistinguishable icons. I simply fail to see, how can monochromatic icons be eye candy, user friendly and more professional than beautiful coloured ones. Without tooltips I would be unable to find/distinguish at least 1/3 of all icons/buttons. And the worst of them are system icons and system tray icons. Many thanks for your guidance. Cheers! |

I can't remember the exact locations, but I found them by greping the icon names without the extension (system-shutdown, system-lock-screen, etc) on the sources for kdeplasma-addons, plasma-desktop, and plasma-workspace |

Many thanks,
Another option is to remove the breeze theme and to use Oxygen theme from 4.x series. I am enjoying beautifully coloured icons (except monochromatic for volume - kmix and veromix and nm-applet). |
