Hello I am trying to get some help with copying one virtual desktop layout to another. I have my main desktop exactly how I want it and would like to use that as a starting point for the other virtual desktops and just customize it as needed, instead of having to do the whole thing from scratch for each one... It would also be nice if I could copy all my virtual desktop settings from my laptop to my desktop. I use the same username and password on both machines since I remember reading somewhere that if you don't want to format your home partition, then the new installation has to use the same credentials to work properly. I know that it's stored in my home directory somewhere because when I re-installed Kubuntu and pointed the installer to my old home partition on a separate drive, all of my settings were still intact after a fresh install. Is it even possible to copy the plasma layout from one virtual desktop to another? I'm running Kubuntu 14.10 x64 with with my root and boot partitions on sda and my home partition is on sdb (if that makes any difference).
Thank you for your time. |
