The attached image shows the problem.

I am constantly notified about two updates which do not exist.

There are no held packages as "dpkg --get-selections | grep hold" tells me.

apt-get, aptitude and synaptic all tell me the same thing.

I tried purging packages such as apper, xapian and muon with the same result.

Somewhere I need to refresh a database or delete same and rebuild.

Any suggestions? Please

Edit: I am unable to find anyway of attaching an image. The image shows a list of about 5 or 6 notifications stacked on top of each other all telling me that 2 packages need updating.
