false entry in Removable Devices

Sun Aug 23, 2015 12:09 pm
In KDE4 I have false entry in Removable Devices
Image

I followed this topic:
viewtopic.php?f=225&t=119884
and edited both

/.kde/share/apps/kfileplaces/bookmarks.xml
/.kde/share/config/kded_device_automounterrc

but it didn't help. After system restart the entry is still present.

This also appears in panel device notifier and in Dolphin, which is annoying.

The problem is that I can't remember what device it refers to. How to remove it?

That's your floppy disk drive.
If you don't have one, the BIOS incorrectly tells the kernel that there is one anyway.
Disabling it in the BIOS settings should remove the entry in that case, or blacklist the "floppy" kernel module.

You are absolutely correct. I forgot that a few days ago I set BIOS settings to default. Disabling "floppy" solved the problem. Thank you.
