Running Fedora23 KDE Spin. Plasma version 5.5.5. Qt Version 5.6.0.
When I press Ctrl-F12 from a non-KDE application (Firefox), it does not work on the first attempt. I mean the desktop shows momentarily but I am thrown back to showing all windows. If I keep hitting Ctrl-F12, it starts switching between showing desktop and showing windows as expected. Moreover, when I come back to showing windows, (Ctrl-F12 once, show desktop. Ctrl-F12 second time, show windows), the window from which I went off is not selected. I need to click in it to select it. Is this expected behaviour? I would like the focus to be back to the window from where I went for Show Desktop.

Tried. Slightly different. It showed desktop. But it does not select the window I was originally in when I switch back. So, I am working in kwrite. I do Ctrl-F12, it shows the desktop. When I do Ctrl-F12 again, it shows kwrite as the top window but it is not selected. I need to click in it to select it before I can start typing. It may not be related, but in case if it is, in Firefox, double-clicking a word, does not select it.

the Kwrite example is the same for me, focus is lost is I start typing Krunner is opened and the text shows there - you could post a bug on bugs, kde, org for me double clicking a word in FF works, does it work in KDE apps? |

Yes. Double clicking in KDE apps (Konqueror, at least) works as expected. Has it something to do with my focus settings? I have left them at default.

In Firefox, triple clicking does what double clicking is supposed to do. Also, 'Minimize all windows' works better than 'Show Desktop'. So, going with it!

maybe its a FF thing, though I only need to double click in it. Try as a new user, maybe it's your FF config
do other non-KDE and QT apps require tripple? |

Yes. Tried it in Thunderbird.
Same is Firefox. Requires a triple click in place of a double click.

if those are the 2 apps with the issue and since they are both Mozilla apps it would appear to be a Mozilla issue and you should try their forum
