HI

I am using KDE 4.1.3 with OpenSuse 10.3 a nvidia graphics card (latest driver) and two monitors.

No major problems with dual heading - But the applet handles will not appear next to any plasmoids when I hover the mouse over them. This means I cannot move or resize them. The context right click mouse on the the panel has also stopped working. I deleted .kde4 At first the handles reappeared but after a restart the disappeared again.

Is this a part of the dual head problems with 4.1?

I have not found anyone else with this problem - is it an unreported bug?

Any suggestions?

You haven't locked the widgets (maybe by accident), have you? ;)

Installed the latest QT4 no improvement! In fact a few other things broke! I will delete .KDE4 again and see if that helps.

Ensure you are actually using the latest Qt version by following the instructions here Given that more things broke, you may also want to try updating to the latest KDE 4.1 at that time as well.

Ok so the problem is solved - the hard way. Lost a hard drive - reinstalled everything. Upgraded to OpenSuSE 11. It now works fine. Still moving files around to get everything right.

Thanks for your help.

Glad to hear you managed to sort your problem, although it was an extreme way of doing it. Could you please add [SOLVED] to the start of the subject? Thanks.
