Hello!
I wonder if its possible to get another login screen then the original, and if so how? https://www.google.se/search?q=plasma+5 ... MZ2deqM%3A Its a bit overcomplicated for my taste, i want username password and being able to select my own background. And also another splash screen would be nice! Thanks! |

Yes. 1) The easiest: You start your distribution package manager and do an installation of a new sddm theme package. You are not telling your distribution - picking one - the Debian and the Debian based: https://packages.debian.org/search?keyw ... ection=all 2) You could search internet: - KDE Store sddm themes: https://store.kde.org/browse/cat/101/ - Reddit sddm theme: https://www.reddit.com/r/sddm_themes/ You need to read the theme installation notes ! 3) You could edit the existing themes: viewtopic.php?f=289&t=131783#p364567 The SDDM: https://github.com/sddm/sddm has a theming guide: https://github.com/sddm/sddm/blob/devel ... THEMING.md After you have installed/made a new theme you could test it:
and if it is working you could enable it from the KDE system setting SDDM module: Full image: http://imgur.com/L5Euj7r
Earlier: Is possible add other splash screen & change start icon? - viewtopic.php?f=289&t=125293 The KDE splash is part of the Look & Feel. With the Plasma 5.8 and later you could click the 'Get New Looks' button (right lower corner) at the KDE system settings Look and Feel settings: Full image: http://imgur.com/Bv8pf6z If you only want to change the splash: KDE System settings > Workspace Theme > Splash Screen...
