Having the screen go blank after 40 sec while I'm viewing YouTube or reading the news just sucks.
Why is there no way to set the Desktop Behavior's Screen Locking setting to 30 min and have it work?
Why are there so many requests for a fix on this issue? I'm using 5.8.4, but feeling the need to install OpenSuse.

Thanks, but this shows the setting I'd done for a 30 min delay to blank the screen. Active, but ineffectual.

I don't know how to respond to your post without declaring it the answer. Meh.

Maybe something else installed is overriding those settings?
