XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set

Tue Apr 11, 2017 10:05 am
hi forum,

i need a hint how to set XDG_RUNTIME_DIR.
Cron does its jobs, but used to indicate that XDG_RUNTIME_DIR is not set.
I found this from a gentoo forum (https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1035018-start-0.html):
Code: Select all
I have to edit a script to manually set XDG_RUNTIME_DIR or KDE won't start. I currently have the line
XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=/var/run/user/$UID
in /usr/bin/startkde.
I don't want to fiddle about it without reinsuring.
Any ideas?
