Hi,
I 'm working with people that are in different time zones and I like to have a clock that show me their current time. I can have several digital clock widgets in the panel but I would like to have several analog clocks in the desktop as well, each of them with a particular time zone. But it seems that the analog clock widget only use the locale info of my Kubuntu. Any ideas on how to overcome that limitation? I'm in Kubuntu 16.04.2, KDE plasma version 5.5.5. Thanks, EKS |

Hi ! There are many options - few of them: Conky There is the Conky: http://conky.sourceforge.net/documentation.html There seems to be lot of analog clocks: http://www.google.com/search?tbm=isch&q ... alog+clock Qml and the plasma 5 The plasma 5 widgets are using qml scripts: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QML You could edit the KDE analog clock script to fit your needs. An example with the digital clock: My Digital Clock - viewtopic.php?f=17&t=134970&p=361132#p361132 Earlier: Kubuntu Forums / Clocks: https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showthread.php?t=61798 -> Why have only one when you could have many: https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showthrea ... post367872 Using the Qt Quick Demo - Clocks: http://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qtquick-demos-clocks-example.html Barebone multiclock with the timezones: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AurPvqgDMVijgQbHIjzLeFJWm6yz It can be installed with the command:
Older plasma versions can use the plasmapkg2 instead of the kpackagetool5. As this is a barebone the user can set the City/timezone at the $HOME/.local/share/plasma/plasmoids/multiclock/contents/ui/main.qml. The plasma widget can be added to the desktop: Clocks can be flicked: or the widget can be resized to show all: More Plasma5/QML2/GettingStarted: https://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tu ... ingStarted |
