I am a noob. So forgive my ignorance, I have a DELL Inspiron 531s with AMD 64 X2 trying to run KDE Neon 5.10, Plasma 5.10.4, Qt 5.9.1, and kernel 4.10.0-33 generic. The system has a built-in Nvidia 6500 series video processor. Problem: when i try running KDE neon massive screen tearing and lockup occurs. I installed and old ATI x300 video board and everything is fine no issues. I have tried loading nvidia drivers to no avail. I do not want to keep running with the ATI card as it prevents me from closing up the system (ATI card sticks up to high its full sized). Any ideas would be appreciated.
