Some suggestions:

- an option to disable text for documents, contacts, computer and applications, lock session, leave and change user button
- an option to make it that the pc does the action that is set if the leave buttons is pressed longer than x seconds

the email notification:
- if Kontact is not running open it

applications menu:

- an option to change the size of the favorite icons.+
- an option to hide the the text of categorys that were last selected

contacs menu:

- an option to change the size of the mail and contact icons

computer menu:

- an option to change the size of all icons,

It would be good if there were some commandline options to invoke lancelot with.

It's useful for guys like me who use compiz with kde and like to set some commands in compiz to invoke the menu with, for example simply pointing the mouse towards the top left corner.

Also, contacts should be able to feed from telepathy besides Kopete and email through akonadi (probably all of this should be able to come through akonadi).

Other than that, lovely launcher.

Is lancelot project is dead ? Or could we expect a new version with new feature soon ?
(As Telepathy contact, start Kmail when is not yet launch, icon size etc...)

It is on the ice a bit - needs to be redone mostly from scratch (for the 4th time ARGHHH... but that happens when you use an behaviourally unstable technology) to be QML based.

Not sure when it will happen - might be that I'll need to wait for KDE Frameworks 5 and libplasma2.

I have been playing around and creating quite a few things, so expect it to be much more powerful than it is now (hint: configurable layouts)

I have really annoying problem with lancelot.

When I open Lancelot and go to software category I have something like this:

1 Screen - menu is opened,

2 Screen - menu is hided but subcategory is still open.

Here is picture

That is why the feature to pop out the subcategories is marked as 'EXPERIMENTAL'. Just move your mouse over it, and it will disappear.

I am very happy to see you have started to work on QML version :)
Have a question though about the "old" one, is it just me, or it won't render new 4.10 shadows* (talking about proper shadow element, not the old "hacky" way of ading gradient to left/right, etc elements)?

It doesn't use plasma::dialog, so the patch Marco made doesn't apply to it.

I don't really have the time to deal with the old version as well, barely got the time for the qml port (or, more precisely, rewrite) :/

should enabled Krunner runners and Lancelot runners be independent or shared? Would this be a useful option?

I don't think that runners config should be shared.

The program search starts not until at least 3 characters have been entered.

It could be more useful when Lancelot shows the program names beginning with the entered characters instead of showing nothing until the characters are 3 or more.

You can use kmousetool for that http://www.kde.org/applications/utilities/kmousetool/

I find it quite unusable to have something clicked on just because I left the mouse in one place.

1. Is there any way do disable recent documents? I empted the folder and block right to it. In Kickoff it worked, but every time I log in Lancelot shows info that it cannot access this folder.
Edit: I noticed that when /.local/share/recently-used.xbel has only read permission Lancelot list currently used document but when I close this document Lancelot stop listing it, it doesn't show anything, which is what I wanted.

2. As an idea: would it be possible to add option to disable categories and on the left and have only icons of favourites applications on the right as tree and search on the top. Something like in Cinnamon menu:
http://resalxh.files.wordpress.com/2012 ... 1-menu.png

3. I would like to know if it is possible instead of recent document have recently used application category - that would be much more useful to me.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=160861
Obviously if this was possible point 2 would be invalid.
