Desktop out of screen bounds

Wed May 02, 2018 4:20 am
Dear all, I'm stuck with the trouble of the subject. I have performed a fresh installation and, after some reboots, the desktop (and plasma menus) appeared out of the screen bounds (I cannot attach an example). Here, some information:
Code: Select all
plasmashell --version
plasmashell 5.12.4

Code: Select all
kf5-config --version
Qt: 5.10.0
KDE Frameworks: 5.45.0
kf5-config: 1.0

Code: Select all
lspci -nn | grep -E 'VGA|Display'
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Redwood XT [Radeon HD 5670/5690/5730] [1002:68d8]

Code: Select all
xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1680 x 1050, maximum 8192 x 8192
HDMI-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
DVI-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
VGA-0 connected 1680x1050+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 495mm x 291mm
   1680x1050     59.95*+
   1600x1200     60.00
   1280x1024     75.02    60.02
   1280x960      60.00
   1152x864      75.00
   1024x768      75.03    70.07    60.00
   832x624       74.55
   800x600       72.19    75.00    60.32    56.25
   640x480       75.00    72.81    66.67    59.94
   720x400       70.08

I'm not sure what kind of information could be useful in order to evaluate the problem.

Thanks in advance...

Re: Desktop out of screen bounds  Topic is solved

Finally, and thanks to the Telegram Channel (thanks Sem), I found the solution: for some reason that I cannot explain, the system set up some Windows Rules for Plasmashell so, the solution is just delete the rule in settings-->windows rules.
