I am running Antergos with KDE Plasma 5.13.2, and my laptop is not suspending when the lid closes. I asked this question on the Antergos forum, but I thought maybe I could get some help from the KDE community because I think it might be Plasma, not necessarily Antergos.

It is not a simple question, but you can try to take a look in the system settings preferences in the Energy section.
I have no problems in my laptop at home running KDE Plasma 5.13.3 with Neon and Manjaro Linux.

I could fixed many issues similar from System settings preferences.
