KDE Plasma black screen  Topic is solved

Fri Oct 26, 2018 6:31 pm
Hi,

Suddenly my Plasma desktop displays no taskbar or wallpaper
I can't even open KDE Apps like the settings panel and so

When I try starting the plasmashell, it give me this error
> plasmashell
Icon theme "gnome" not found.

For info, I have papirus icon theme installed

How can I display more errors in order to determine the cause?

I even tried starting with a fresh ~/.config folder but it doesn't work

More info: When I open plasma-discover for example, it shows also a blackscreen! Could this be QT5 related?

Dist Version
Linux gtx 4.9.0-8-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.110-3+deb9u6 (2018-10-08) x86_64 GNU/Linux

Solved
I reinstalled my nvidia driver and everything is back to order
https://wiki.debian.org/NvidiaGraphicsDrivers
sudo aptitude install linux-headers-$(uname -r|sed 's/[^-]*-[^-]*-//') nvidia-driver

Please help
Thank you
