C::B version: 17.12
When opening a file in C::B there is no 'Network' available in the Open file Dialog, only the local directories. It is not possible to drag the file on the NAS from Dolphin or Krusader to C::B. It doesn't open. Both of these operations are possible on Mint. Double clicking on a MS.doc on the NAS (Dolphin) opens with Libre fine. Selecting 'Open with C::B' on the NAS opens the .cpp file in C::B. Unfortunately, instead of loading it into the running instance of C::B it opens a new instance of C::B - rather useless. Is there something I have to enable or set or select or ... ? Thanks. |

I'm guessing this is another case of wanting a non-KIO application (Code::Blocks) to be able to read KIO-provided paths.
There's a brainstorm case about that here: viewtopic.php?f=83&t=141917&p=408246&hilit=KIO+modern#p408246. The suggestion is to enhance KIO to provide mount points for remote locations, similar to GVFS, so that other applications can just read from the mounted location instead of needing to bundle KIO. I haven't heard anything about that being implemented, yet.
