Set background as gradient?

I was recently changing my wallpaper to a wonderful transparent PNG which normally looks quite snazzy with a gradiented background.

Oh wait, I didn't notice I couldn't set a gradiented background!

Am I being a klutz and missing this wonderful option somewhere (if I am, perhaps you should make it more obvious, eh?) :)

If I'm not, I understand KDE is still developing and in progress, but is this feature being implemented and will it be out for 4.2?
