Qt: 4.4.3
KDE: 4.1.81 (KDE 4.1.81 (KDE 4.2 >= 20081128)) OK, this is quite anoying: When u insert cd/dvd device notifier appears, and u have only two options: open in dolphin and eject. What is desperately missing is a button (same as eject) just to mount inserted disc (without opening dolphin). It is most useful when, i.e. you insert movies disc which you want to open in a player (you don't require dolphin for that, just a mounted disc and player's file browser). This can probably be resolved with some sort of automounter, but I don't like that as it is very much distro specific (and hardly related to kde). Any ideas? Or at least tell me it (or anything similar) is a future plan ?

You can already do that with Dragon Player(or kmplayer, kplayer, etc.) by going to the "Open file" dialog and the disc would magically appear in the left side of the window.
In an ideal world every player would use KDE's file dialog. |

In KDE 4.2 Support was added for Custom actions ( for example "Play DVD", "Open in File Manager", "Download from Camera", etc )
KDE Sysadmin
