Just wondering...is it possible to get the dashboard being distinctive from the main desktop? I am using 4.1.85 as of now, and I would love to be able to have one set of plasmoids on my main desktop (possibly different ones depending on whether I have different activities set up or not) and another set that is ONLY shown when I bring up the dashboard.

Say I have two activities set up: one for work (say with a folderview and a notes plasmoid). And one for "play", maybe with a folderview and a comic-plasmoid.

When I bring up the dashboard, it shouldn't matter what is setup for the activity in question. I only want it to show the system-status plasmoids. The rest should stay hidden, no matter which activity I am using.

Is that possible at all now? I don't care if it means manually editing the plasma config-files as long as it is possible (and if it isn't right now, is it scheduled for post-4.2?)

I think that this blogpost would be of interest to you.
(In short, yes it is possible)

Great! I thought I had seen that it was possible, but couldn't find it. I must have a mistake the first time around though, since I got some really odd results...I'll try again though and will nail it eventually :) A bit of a cumbersome method, but hey: if it works, I'm not gonna complain (much...)!

Thanks a lot!

You're welcome. :)
Since this is solved, could you please edit the original post and put a [SOLVED] in from of the topic? Thanks.
