[SOLVED] get rid of transparency

Hello

I use openSUSE 11.0 and KDE 4.2RC1 I have choosen the oxygen theme and windwo decorator but the control bar is tranparent instead of black. Is this something SUSE spezifc or can I change this to black?

If you have compositing active, the panel is transparent. That's a feature of the Oxygen theme. You may want to change the panel appearance in systemsettings to the one of another theme if you don't want transparency.

Make sure you have "Translucency" disabled under System Settings -> Desktop -> Desktop Effects -> All Effects. Or, click on the settings button and slide the "Decorations" slider to opaque.

Were you refering to the kde panel when you said controller? In that case, I misunderstood.

As einar, you can choose another desktop theme by right clicking on desktop -> Appearance Settings -> Desktop theme
