Hi
Is it just me, or is it a common feature: I can't edit menu entries in KDE (currently 4.1.4, the same in older versions). I will describe this: I'm using polish version and for example GIMP exists in my kick-off menu as "Edytor obrazu; GNU Image Manipulation Program", which are description and name of the application. The same goes with every other program. To change the way applications are shown I have to switch to classic menu, and choose in properties "only name". That's it, I'll get GIMP as "GNU Image Manipulation Program", but only until I switch back to kick-off... I still have to look for Amarok under "O" and GIMP under "E". Besides this I can't edit any entry in menu. If I change "GNU Image Manipulation Program" to GIMP in menu editor it will be back "GNU Image Manipulation Program" as soon as I try it... Only entries I added myself are changeable. Any ideas? |
