Hi! I was using the Notes Plasmoid and wanted to open another Post-It. So I clicked the new-document-icon on the Plasmoid side bar. Unfortunately, this closed the Post-It. Reopening the Plasmoid via "Add Widgets" gave me an empty one.

Is it possible to restore the old note?

I'm using KDE 4.1.3 with Kubuntu. Thanks in advance!

Try looking in $KDEHOME/share/config and $KDEHOME/share/apps.

The file that contains your old note may still be present there. ( you may need to do some searching )

Thank you for your help, bcooksley! I found
./share/config/kresources/notes/stdrc
./share/apps/knotes/notes.ics

Unfortunately, these two files don't contain my note, nor does any other, according to a full-text search.

Then I wrote a new note, and did an full-text search for it, which pointed me to
./share/config/plasma-appletsrc
which only contains the new note, so I guess I can give up searching

At least, it seems, after closing the Plasmoid the file still contains the note for a little while, unless the app or KDE is restarted. So I have a chance next time.
