Hi! I was using the Notes Plasmoid and wanted to open another Post-It. So I clicked the new-document-icon on the Plasmoid side bar. Unfortunately, this closed the Post-It. Reopening the Plasmoid via "Add Widgets" gave me an empty one.
Is it possible to restore the old note? I'm using KDE 4.1.3 with Kubuntu. Thanks in advance! |

Try looking in $KDEHOME/share/config and $KDEHOME/share/apps.
The file that contains your old note may still be present there. ( you may need to do some searching )

Thank you for your help, bcooksley! I found ./share/config/kresources/notes/stdrc ./share/apps/knotes/notes.ics Unfortunately, these two files don't contain my note, nor does any other, according to a full-text search. Then I wrote a new note, and did an full-text search for it, which pointed me to ./share/config/plasma-appletsrc which only contains the new note, so I guess I can give up searching At least, it seems, after closing the Plasmoid the file still contains the note for a little while, unless the app or KDE is restarted. So I have a chance next time. |
