I have seen this "internal extender container" plasmoid in my widget list for a while, but I can't figure out what it does. I have tried placing it both on the desktop and the panel but I can't seem to do anything with it. The info button doesn't have any useful information, and a google search does not seem to turn up anything useful. Does anyone have any idea what it is and what I can do with it?

I guess that this is the plasmoid which will be created when for example dragging the calender of the clock widget on the desktop.

But what can you do with the plasmoid in the plasmoid list?

Just guessing: By placing it on your desktop, you could drag extenders to it, so they could all hang down from it, and then be neatly folded away into it ( like the system tray )
