I'm enjoying my KDE 4.2 stable immensely, it's nice and stable and beautiful as well.

One question however; where has the Kate session plasmoid gone? Is it still supposed to be included in the 4.2 distribution, or had my distribution (Debian) failed to include it in their packages?

If it isn't included by default any longer could somebody point me to the source code? I'd like to checkout and compile it myself. It's a great plasmoid!

The Kate session plasmoid was moved either to kdeplasma-addons or kdesdk.

I think it's here http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdesdk/ ... a/session/

The only problem is I can't compile it. :(

Code: Select all
CMake Error at session/CMakeLists.txt:6 (kde4_add_plugin):
  Unknown CMake command "kde4_add_plugin".

CMake Warning (dev) in CMakeLists.txt:
No cmake_minimum_required command is present.  A line of code such as

    cmake_minimum_required(VERSION 2.6)

should be added at the top of the file.  The version specified may be lower
if you wish to support older CMake versions for this project.  For more
  information run "cmake --help-policy CMP0000".
This warning is for project developers.  Use -Wno-dev to suppress it.

You need to build from this directory. http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdesdk/kate/plasma/

I did that, but I got the same error. But! The plasmoid seems to be back, I installed some extra scriptengines, which might have brought the widget back.
