I read and heard from other Users that normally you can for Example rightclick on an Archive shown by the FolderView-Applet and choose the same Options as you would see in Dolphin. (extract here, extract to, etc)

But i only get these Options (for every filetype):

open
copy
preview with gwen (Diaschau starten)
etc

At least on Trunk ( to be KDE 4.3 ) this feature is available. Due to the recent release, it is likely available in KDE 4.2 as well. What version of KDE 4 are you using?

Oh yeah sry forgot the most Important Info.

Im using Kde4.2 on Ubuntu.

And i talked to other Ubuntu Users with Kde4.2 and their FolderView behaves exactly like Dolphin.

I know I know i really dont want Ubuntu Support but i thought that i could activate this behaviour in some config-file for kde or anything, i believe i searched all the Option-Menus but cant find nothing...

thx

If you upgraded to KDE 4.2, then some data might be old. Try removing + adding a new folderview. Also make sure all packages are fully updated.

That eliminates all other possible problems. You must have an outdated package or repository on your system

thx anyway, but that would leave me no other option that completely reinstall my system, cause its kinda impossible to have outdated packages.

ive never had kde4 packages on this system installed before i even added the repository for kde4.2, and i explicitly installed the kde4.2 packages from that experimental repository.

i thought that this issue could be fixed kinda easily.. oh well...
