Hi,
I've installed KDE 4.2 and I'm trying Lancelot. It's very good , but I have a problem with themes. It seems to recognize only the default theme , Oxygen. I've tried various other themes, that were already installed with my Archlinux (kdeplasma-addons, like aya) and Lancelot always remained with the default Oxygen look. I've controlled in the /usr/share/apps/desktoptheme/default directory and I have the "lancelot" folder. In the /usr/share/apps/desktoptheme/Aya I don't have any lancelot folder, I read somewhere (maybe ivan's blog) that this is a good thing and should work this way, but it doesn't. I've also tried to download the Glassified theme that integrate its own "lancelot" folder, but without luck. Any ideas? Thanks Marcello

Lancelot doesn't react to the theme change until you restart it (will in 4.3 - the support for that was added in libplasma after the 4.2 was frozen)
To restart only L, and not the rest of kde, do:
There shouldn't be other problems related to this if the theme has lancelot dir inside. The themes that Lancelot provide files for are Oxygen, Aya, Elegance, Slim-Glow, Heron and Silicon. As for the other themes, only Glassified [1] has begun to provide the necessary files. [1] http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.ph ... tent=81388 |
