[SOLVED] How do I show the normal desktop?

I can't figure out how to show my desktop like normal, and not in a folder widget. The only thing I can do is make shortcut widgets, but it's not very practical to have a separate desktop folder and actual desktop. Thanks!

If you are using KDE 4.2 ( Which is highly recommended ) then:
Upper right main cashew > Desktop Settings. Set the "Desktop Activity" type to "Folder View"
