[SOLVED] Dashboard/activity config

Fri Feb 20, 2009 1:52 am
I've been trying to follow this tutorial in configuring the dashboard to show a different activity... and different widgets (because I want to see some of my cool wallpapers...).

I get stuck on assigning the extra activity to the dashboard in the plasmarc file, since there are no entries for almost anything, much less my extra activity. So, I'm not really sure how I would edit the file.

Here is the plasmarc file:

[Applet Browser]
favorites=
used=

[DownloadDialog Settings]
Height 900=521
Width 1440=860

[KFileDialog Settings]
Height 900=535
Recent Files[$e]=BLAAH
Width 1440=792

[PlasmaAppletBrowserDialog]
Height 900=399
Width 1440=456

[PlasmaViews][2]
panelVisibility=0

[ViewIds]
1=3
3=2

From the plasma-appletsrc file, my activity containment numbers should be 1 (for my normal desktop) and 24 for the dashboard activity.

Anyways, I'm using kde 4.2.0 on Kubuntu Intrepid..

you want to add something like:

[PlasmaViews][3]
DashboardContainment=24
