I can't install any plasmoid I compiled one from source (stasks) but I can't get it to appear on Widget list. And I can't even install plasmoids from internet...
It says that there is a problem with /tmp... I have KDE4.2 and I did install everything that I needed to compile plasmoids. I get this error: Installation of /tmp/kde-primoz///99815-quick.plasmoid failed! and installation of /tmp/kde-primoz failed What is the problem? My permissions in /tmp are OK and it's not full. I have no idea what else to check.

This looks like a packaging error in the *.plasmoid file. You could try manually copying the needed components to $KDEHOME/share/apps/plasma/applets/

No need I "lost my nerves" and decided it's time to jump the boat. Now I'm on Arch using KDEmod and I like it (still few problems, like bad font rendering...) But at least I have much more plasmoids in repos And installation is if i remeber correctly very simple you just tell pacman to use source code

I'm having the same error, but I am having it when I try to download plasmoid with GHNS. Any ideas? It seems to happen with any plasmoid I try to install that way.

Just tested it, I am also affected ( tested with Automounting Device Notifier ). running KDE Trunk revision 935972. Please file a bug at bugs.kde.org if one does not already exist.

Yeah I'm getting the same problem. Installing manually from kde-look.org works though.. |
