Hi!
I've got an Eee PC 900A. Yesterday I installed easypeasy 1.0 (the netbook version of ubuntu). Everything went well, but then I also wanted to install KDE. I installed the latest KDE (4.2.1). But I get a fatal error on startup:
All apps are working fine (I can start them with Alt+F2) except plasma Thats what I already tried: * I removed ~/.kde/share/config * I removed ~/.kde/ * I removed KDE and installed it again * I created a new user * I started KDE without composite effects * I reinstalled kdebase-plasma But everything without success. One strange thing: There are no plasma files in ~/.kde/share/config !?! Thats what I get when I try to start plasma in konsole:

I have the same problem. It's seem that comes from the use of grandr to make dual header. When i use it ican't resart plasma, i have to delete plasma-appletsrc, then i can restart but i lose all my settings in plasma...
if somebody can help ? Thanks Ghislain |

But in my case plasma doesn't even create a plasma-appletsrc. There isn't a single plasma file in ~/.kde4/share/config
I don't know what else I could try |

Please install backtrace packages for Qt, Plasma and KDE Libs then generate a backtrace and file a bugreport. Kephal should be able to handle grandr being present without issues.
