Made a search, didn't find what I was looking for.

I've installed kde 4.2 but the system tray icons
are not working, as you can see in the image
below.



Coul you help me, please? I've learned a few
things on Linux, but I'm pretty sure that I'm
still a newbie.

- Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E6750 2.66GHz
- Sata Samsung HD161HJ
- 512 Mb RAM
- Nvidia GeForce 7300 GS 128Mb

Have you tried updating to the latest nvidia drivers?

Since it's a hole new installation, I downloaded nividia
legacy drivers (according to this page http://www.suse.de/~sndirsch/nvidia-ins ... WTO.html#7) and installed. Then, I gone to Online Update and choose
from a list the nvidia options. Is that right?

Do you get your tray icons back if you disable Desktop Effects?

Nope. Still the same.

Thanks a lot buddies. The issue was solved by updating from Qt4.4.0 to Qt4.4.3.
