I am running Kubuntu 9.04 and I was wondering if anyone could give me a tip on how to change an annoyance in the Kmenu.
A the moment, the items in the menu are displayed with their function in big letters, and the name under in grey, smaller letters. This is ok enough the first two days you use a system. After that, it is a plain annoyance. I never look for a Web browser. I look for Firefox ( not the best example, I admit ), not for a web browser.. So how do I switch the name of the applications with the category/description? I want names in big letters and the category/description can be under in grey/small. I am also wondering about the logic behind doing it the way it is now. As I am sure there has been a lot of internal debate about something like this, it would be nice to hear the reasons behind it.

Sorry, but Kickoff does not support this as a configuration option. However the classic KMenu does support this.

Ok. Good to know. Could you give us the reason behind this particular way of doing it? What am I not understanding here? I am sure you have a good reason for putting it this way.

I am not the developer of that particular Plasmoid. You will need to contact them to find out why this has not been implemented.
