Hi!
I've reinstalled openSUSE 11.1. It's the same KDE-version (4.2.70) and the same Plasma-configuration (~/.kde4/share/config) like before. But I can't start Plasma because I get the message "ERROR: syntax error". Running kbuildsycoca4 does not help.
It happens during reading the configuration. But it also happens without any plasma-desktop-(applets)?rc. I've installed kdebase4-workspace-debuginfo but I get the "can't receive debuggin information" message. What could I do? The User Edit: It was the device-notifier...

It sounds like you could be hitting the bug mentioned at http://aseigo.blogspot.com/2009/04/gett ... table.html

I found the easiest way around this one is to just uninstall kaffeine until the unstable repo is updated.
I had a look at the .desktop file mentioned in Aaron's blog but couldn't figure out what needed changing. :-$

The value that needs changing is the "Predicate" line. Apparently it is invalid somehow, although I do not know why and it will probably result in a bug report for me at some point. ( I wrote the system settings module that makes editing those easy )
