Does anyone know how to make the classic menu semi-transparent?
I'm sure it was an obvious setting under kde3.5 but I just can't find it in kde4 - am I being blind? |

It's not easily possible, we've removed this kind of hack for KDE 4 as we can now use real transparency. (Not "screenshot as background but blended" translucency.) So if you use a style that uses translucency, you'll get translucent menus (such as the classic one) automatically. The good news is that you're not blind.

Actually it's possible but you have to enable the Kwin effects. Then you can set the transparency effect in Desktop settings
