the cashew in 4.3 beta is other (both in size and design) than in 4.2
i like the 4.2 one more so i copied over the oxygen theme from 4.2 (copy /usr/share/apps/desktoptheme/default from a kde 4.2 computer + rename the folder + rename the theme in the file inside) most other stuff changed ok but the cashew remained the 4.3 one is the cahew look hard coded into plasma and not themeable ?

The Cashew is probably the Plasma logo, greyscaled and resized appropriately.

It is likely some form of a global cashew element, located in a SVG file which is not part of the themable SVG files. Try looking in Plasma's global data directories, which probably contain the system wide themes.

Probably $KDEDIR/share/apps/plasma/ but I am guessing....

The file containing the theme for the background of cashew is widgets/toolbox.svgz
The reason that the overwrite technique you used didn't work is probably because in 4.2 it wasn't themable (iirc), so the file didn't exist. |
