Hello,
I'm using kde-neon nightly on kubuntu. The last update killed my kde 4.3 and I had to restart it from a fresh install by renaming de /home/XXX/.kde-neon folder.

Now I want to get backs infos I putted on the note plasmoid. I can't find the file whitch store the note's datas. Does anyone know where datats are stored ?

Thanks for your help

Unfortunately the data in question is stored in the Plasma configuration file. If you still have the moved .kde-neon folder, then it may be possible to retrieve the data, otherwise it has unfortunately been lost.

The file is in /share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc

cd ~
find . -name plasma-appletsrc -exec echo "file is: " {} ; -exec grep autoSave {} ;

file is: ./.kde/share/config/plasma-appletsrc
autoSave=testing_for_forum1
autoSave=datastar

To get the content run above and it shows you what was in your notepad

Now I know where my notes lives :-)
