Options for determining Active Window

Mon Jun 29, 2009 11:55 pm
Hi,

I have a question regarding the algorithm that determines the active window (focus).

First of all, I am running Ubuntu 9.04 with the standard kde packages, Version: 5:48ubuntu1 which is KDE 4.1.1.

I have set the focus policy to "Focus Follows Mouse" and that works fine.

I am also using a number of virtual desktops and have set up keyboard shortcuts that allow me to switch between the virtual desktops.

My problem appears when I use the keyboard to switch to a different desktop. At that point, the algorithm confuses me.

I look for a setting that would give the focus to the window under the mouse when switching desktops (and only then, so "Focus under Mouse" does not do it for me).

Is there a setting that allows me to do that?

Before, I was running Debian Etch with the older KDE 3.3 and the behavior was the way I liked it.

Thanks
Thomas
