Hi, I'm running Linux Mint 7 KDE community edition with KDE 4.3.1 installed from the PPA.


When I go to add widgets, install widgets, install from local file, I can select the type of widget and the file, but when I click finish, the widget isn't actually installed. I've tried running kbuildsycoca4 to no avail. When I looked in ~/.kde/share/apps/plasma/plasmoids the widget isn't there. Installing from the command line or from the (crippled) "Download plasmoids" option work fine.



Any ideas? I've filed a bug but received no comments.

This is unfortunately a regression in Plasma. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done until the bug itself is fixed. Fortunately at least one more release of KDE 4.3.x is planned.
