After setting up a few activities, I went and locked the widgets. Everything was fine. Then, I unlocked the widgets to add another plasmoid on my desktop/top panel. After I locked the widgets, I quickly found a portion of the plasma-desktop menu showing up on my desktop (pics 1 & 2 below). Not knowing what it was at first, locking and unlocking the widgets identified the plasma-desktop menu flashing in/out of the desktop very briefly. Zooming out and closing the menu removes the it (pic3). However, the bug returns whenever I simply unlock and then lock the widgets, even if I never zoomed out to add/remove any activities. Also, when I start my kde session, the bug is there front and center. So, now whenever I turn on my laptop, I have to deal with this bug. This behavior was never present in KDE 4.3.0

This is a regression in Plasma, thanks for reporting it to bugs.kde.org. It will hopefully be fixed for KDE 4.3.2

It seemed like this bug was not present in KDE 4.3.0 (w/ QT 4.5.2), as I used the same desktop since the release of 4.3.0. However, after the update to 4.3.1, this bug appeared. I can also say that it didn't show in 4.2.2, when I ran two (rather than five these days) activities. |
