Web plasmoid

Fri Sep 04, 2009 4:19 pm
From skimming over the source of plasma I know roughly what they are, but I'm just interested in why there is next to no documentation for them, and why I haven't heard more of them? It must be so easy to make web plasmoids, so why aren't there billions of them on the web?

Also, how exactly do you package them? I have a rough idea, I'd probably just need an example (I can't find a single one!)

PS: Can anyone try to implement Opera Widgets? Pretty please? They are basically just OSX Dashboard widgets but with fewer JS functions and packaged differently. The full docs are here: http://dev.opera.com/articles/view/opera-widgets-sdk/ (note the previous and next links near the top of the page)

For Opera widgets, it should be possible if full documentation is available. Please report a feature request at bugs.kde.org.

You may wish to contact the Plasma developers for more information regarding how to handle Web Plasmoids.
