I've been using widgets since superkaramba days and overall I really like 4.x, but the new system monitor widget that comes with KDE 4.2 does something unexpected -- it changes the scale of the graphing dynamically. With network monitoring I have no idea if I've pegged my NIC or I've just been listening to a 24k stream unless I squint to read the scale - it is as likely to show 20KiB as 1,600KiB on the top end of the scale. Temp monitoring is doesn't even have a scale, and when you max out temps it adjusts the scale to make it seem as if the CPU hasn't gotten a lot hotter recently.
Is there a way to force them all use a fixed scale? |

Presumably manually hacking the functions that generate the dynamic scale to return whatever scale you want would work, but is hardly simple... |
