Just curious... In Ubuntu/gnome there was a nice app I could add to show my local weather. It would display the temp and an icon of the weather. Any such thing in KDE? I found a plasma weather app, but when put on the menu bar it doesnt look good. Any tips? Many thanks!

In what way doesn't it look good? I tried the weather plasmoid provided by kdeplasma-addons, and it displayed an icon in the panel. You can also find a lot of weather plasmoids on kde-look.org. yaWP, for example, seems to work fine in the panel (judging from the screenshots).

Thanks for the links, I will give em a try. What the plasma weather widget in the bar was doing was showing all 3 days, like it does as a full widget on the desktop. I just need it to show the current weather.

Hm, what's the widget's name and which KDE version do you use? As said, the "Weather Forecast" widget worked for me (KDE 4.3.2).

yawp has the ability to configure how many days you want to display (or just the current conditions).
