Hello,

I'm running KDE4.3.2 on kubuntu 9.04. I created a basic plasmoid in QtScript.

When I try to run it I get
Code: Select all
Could not create a javascript ScriptEngine for the trackmoid widget

in my shell I can see the following
Code: Select all
findServiceByDesktopPath:  not found

Anybody an idea? Runs fine with other KDE users?

Greets,
Ward

Check to ensure your *.desktop file does not contain any case sensitive typos. You may wish to compare with another javascript scriptengine known to work.

It works fine on other systems ... There's nothing wrong with the plasmoid.

Thanks

Please ensure that kdebase-runtime and kdebase-workspace are installed correctly. You may need to force update them.

Does it work under a new user on the same system?

This must be a problem with the packages present on your system. Make sure that you have all KDELibs and KDEBase packages available installed.
